"Eriko
Ishihara's album is a tour-de-force. Her five London musicians are all world
class and she reveals herself to be of the same quality. She's not only
an excellent vocalist, but also a superb pianist and fine composer/arranger.
Three of her original compositions are featured, and of the ten standard
songs she performs, she arranged all except one.
As a singer, she has great vocal presence and projects strongly, adapting
her voice to the drama of the piece. Her timing and phrasing are terrific
and she also contributes several sparkling piano solos. Her musicians are
also given several solo opportunities and acquit themselves wonderfully.
This album is something of a masterpiece and also a delightful experience."

"A highly
musical player, her fluent jazz piano is a perfect foil to her lyrical and
gentle vocal delivery.
A great find and definately a musician to keep an eye on"

"Her bluesy piano
style owes most to Gene Harris and Wynton Kelly"
Evening Standard
"She
is immaculate in her choice of material. She renders her numbers most stylishly
and with verve, her rendition of You Stepped Out Of A Dream and I Wish I
Knew were the best and most passionate I have heard in a very long time"
